For those loving a healthy lifestyle not wanting to give up the pleasures of the palate, Gargano is the chosen land, with its typical regional produce. The scent and purity of our Gargano Extra Virgin Ogliarola olive oil, cultivated in the acreage of casa San Valentino, will please even the most refined palates. Plenty of cheap seasonal fruit and vegetables can be bought at open-air markets, fruit stalls or in the little Ape cars spread here and there, allows eating fruit of the best scent and taste. Moreover, this land, thanks to the free grazing of the Podolica cow, offers exceptional beef, to be cooked in the open air masonry barbecue the house offers. Seasoned or fresh cheeses abound on tables together with the “paposcia”, focaccia bread which history tells being already spread back in 1500, right in the town of Vico del Gargano, later to become a Slow Food Presidium.
Numerous places, pizzerias, inns, wine bars in the surroundings of the house, allow tasting the typical Gargano delicacies, the leading role held by the “orecchiette al pomodoro fresco e cacioricotta di Ischitella” (Orecchiette with fresh tomato sauce and cacioricotta from Ischitella)
Fish abounds in markets, our advice is to taste it in the typical “trabucchi” (wooden stilts with winches for fishing) conserved as monumental heritage, they host typical restaurants where the sun can be seen setting on the sea.
The area between Rodi and Peschici, considering the particular position of the Gargano peninsula, makes the sun rise and set always on the sea! A breathtaking experience.
We are pleased to offer our guests any other information they may require to make your holiday truly unique and unforgettable.
